My name is Peter Foele.  I was born on the 31st of March 1970 in the City of Ghent, Belgium, and live in Scotland since June 2003.

I started studying Bonsai in 1992.  As a regular student at the Bonsai Centre Ginkgo under guidance of Danny Use, I occasionaly assisted him in his demonstrations.  As I gained in knowledge and experience, I became involved in the upkeep and maintenance of the trees for sale at the Ginkgo Centre, and later helping Danny in the maintenance of his top-quality trees in his private collection.

As one of the core members of Danny's Kei Bonsai Kai, I assisted with the first three editions of the Ginkgo Awards.  Since my move to Scotland in 2003, I have become an active member of the Kawabe School at the Bonsai Centre Ginkgo, learning all about the Japanese way of working with Bonsai, and  I am a regular participant at activities at the Newstead Bonsai Nursery from John Hanby.

One of my main goals is to start a Bonsai School in Scotland, one that is based on the teaching principles applied by Danny Use, John Hanby and the Kawabe School.  For more information about this school, feel free to contact me.
